Bebegrande

Behind the alias Bebegrande is one Viviana Rodrigues Simão (Lisbon, 2001). Daughter of a Cape Verdean labourer and an Angolan waitress, Bebegrande is part of the new batch of artists who, under the umbrella of the #spanishdrill tag, make up the first musical movement in Spain spearheaded by young people of colour. With lyrics that mix Creole, French and Spanish, and visuals that map the working-class neighbourhood where she grew up—Delicias, in Zaragoza—.
