Antoine Leonetti

Cultural manager

Born in France in 1972, he now lives in Barcelona. He holds a PhD in Comparative Public Law with a thesis on Administrative autonomies in the cultural field in Spain, the United Kingdom and France. As an expert in the design, management and assessment of projects related to cultural industries and arts education, he has worked with various public and private institutions to design innovative cultural strategies in the field of law, education and cultural programming.

He is currently co-director of the FIRE!! Barcelona LGTBI Film Festival, in collaboration with Casal Lambda and the French Institute of Barcelona. He is also coordinator of different film programmes at MODIBand, such as the Sala Montjuic film festival and El Meu Primer Festival, a film festival for children aged 2 to 12 years old. For the past six years he has been coordinator of the Master’s in Cultural Management at the University of Barcelona and has collaborated in several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Cultural Management at the Open University of Catalonia. He is also a member of Barcelona Kontext, a group of translators specialising in art and culture, where he regularly translates catalogues and exhibition documents for the MACAB, the “La Caixa” Foundation and the Picasso Museum.
