Anna Dot
Anna Dot is an artist and holds a PhD in Translation from the University of Vic (2019). Her work focuses on the study of translation and communicative acts, with special attention to reading and writing processes that go beyond linguistic boundaries. Her projects often stem from questions that she explores by combining research practices with various artistic processes that culminate in performances, videos, and installations. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Biennial Art Prize of Amposta 2014, the Art Nou Prize 2018, and the Because of Many Suns Award from the Collezione Taurisano in Naples to Marseille, in 2021. She has also received grants for artistic residencies at the Künstlerhaus in Bregenz, Austria, in 2021, and at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, in 2022.
