Alex Taek-Gwang Lee

Professor of the department of anglo-saxon cultural studies at Kyung Hee University in Seoul. His research interests are French and German philosophy and its non-Western reception, Korean cinema, popular culture, art and politics. His studies on the validity of communist principles are particularly relevant. He has participated in the international conferences on Western and Eastern communism organized by Slavoj Žižek and held in Seoul in 2013. His speeches and interventions from these conferences are collected in his book The idea of communism 3 (Verso, 2016), co-edited with Slavoj Žižek.
