Albert Costa

Albert Costa has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and is ICREA research professor at the Centre for Brain and Cognition at the Pompeu Fabra University. He began his postdoctoral career in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), after which he continued at the Cognitive Neuropsychology Laboratory at Harvard University. In 2001 he went to work in the Department of Cognitive Neuroscience at the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste. He has been a Ramón y Cajal researcher at the University of Barcelona and aggregate professor in its Psychology Department. He mainly engages in research on the neuro-cognitive foundations of language processing, with a particular interest in understanding how two languages are represented and processed in the same brain.
