Alba Cervera

PhD student at QUANTIC

Alba Cervera designs new quantum algorithms for computation and quantum simulation specifically for small-scale quantum processers that do not require error correction protocols.

Alba Cervera is a PhD student at QUANTIC. She studied Physics at the University of Barcelona and gained her master’s degree in Astrophysics, Particle physics and Cosmology at the same university. During her PhD she was a visiting student at Oxford University. She has a background in high energy physics, quantum information and quantum computing, and has won IBM’s international Teach Me QISKit award. She is now assistant lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona after occupying the same position at Barcelona University. In addition to her research interests, she is involved in outreach activities for secondary school pupils.
