Adrienne Surprenant

A Canadian photojournalist, she works on long-term projects concerned with social and environmental matters. She presently lives in the Central African Republic but has also reported from Central America, elsewhere in Central Africa, and the Middle East for Canadian and international media outlets. Her report Esperando el canal en Nicaragua (Waiting for the Canal in Nicaragua) was exhibited at Visa pour l'Image 2015, and her recent work on drought in Somaliland was shown at the Zoom Photo Festival in Canada. She is an International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) fellow and a member of Women Photograph.
