Synopsis: Economist E. J. Mishan (The Costs of Economic Growth, 1967), based on the indiscriminate mortality imposed by the automobile and its innumerable social costs, came to the conclusion that “the invention of the private automobile [was] one of the great disasters to have befallen the human race”.
Second instalment of ¿Te gusta respirar? Contra el coche (Do you like breathing? Against the car), centring on the power and the strategies of advertising to sell cars to the masses. Could electric cars be the solution to the environmental challenge and problems of mobility in cities and beyond?
