Ignatius Farray

A high school teacher rechristened Juan Ignacio Delgado Alemany (Tenerife, 1973) Ignatius, in reference to the main character in the novel A Confederacy of Dunces. As Ignatius Farray, he delivers extreme monologues which have nonetheless earned him legions of fans with a style as indebted to Faemino y Cansado as it is to Richard Pryor or Lenny Bruce. A contributor to numerous radio and TV projects, he was catapulted to fame with his show El fin de la comedia. (The End of Comedy). This is what the Spanish Louis CK named the show revolving around his fictitious self, whose first season was a resounding success with a broadcast on Comedy Central. Primera Persona (First Person) is welcoming his most confessional show with the joyous and characteristic “deaf cry”, one of his gags.
