Drill from Delicias

Bebegrande is part of the new batch of artists who, under the umbrella of the #spanishdrill tag, make up the first musical movement in Spain spearheaded by young people of colour. With lyrics that mix Creole, French and Spanish, and visuals that map the working-class neighbourhood where she grew up—Delicias, in Zaragoza—Bebegrande has made a name for herself in the drill ecosystem, challenging gender roles with an unapologetic tomboy attitude. Songs like Maracuya, Ding Dong and Pacman are living proof of this.
