Abigail Child. «Mutiny» by Marta Selva

The co-founder of the Barcelona International Women's Film Festival, Marta Selva, presents Mutiny by Abigail Child. This film, which forms part of the series Is This What You Were Born For?, is a mosaic of gestures, actions and movements, focusing mainly on women and taken from both home movies and archive film. With a dizzying montage and disturbing treatment of sound, the filmmaker problematises both the images of our iconosphere and our position as spectators.
