The Myth of the American Sleepover
David Robert Mitchell (United States, 2010, 93’, Original version with Spanish subtitles)

The Millennials from the suburbs of Detroit prefer listening to Beirut or Magnetic Fields, just as the director of landmark movies like It Follows (2014) and Under the Silver Lake (2018) portrayed them,  a gentle revision of the foundational myths of suburban teenagers, with their pajama parties, first kisses and a kind of pop melancholy that permeates everything.

This film is not suitable for minors under 7
