Technocalyps is a three-part documentary about the idea of transhumanism, seen through the gaze of visual artist and filmmaker Frank Theys. How do recent discoveries in the fields of genetics, robotics, artificial intelligence, bionics and nanotechnology affect our everyday lives? The director focuses his search for the answers in the scientific, ethical and metaphysical dimension of technology development, interviewing such experts and thinkers as Marvin Minsky, Terence McKenna, Hans Moravec, Bruce Sterling, Robert Anton Wilson, Richard Seed, Margareth Wertheim, Kirkpatrick Sale, Ralph C. Merkle, Mark Pesce and Ray Kurzweil, amongst others.
