This double feature looks at the women who studied at the Spanish Official School of Cinematography (EOC, from its name in Spanish): Ángela Asensio y de Merlo, Kathryn Waldo, Helena Lumbreras, Cecilia Bartolomé, Josefina Molina, Manuela González-Haba and María Teresa Dressel.

The programme offers two chronological and thematic journeys through the films created by these women while studying at the Institute of Cinematographic Research and Experiences/Spanish Official School of Cinematography (IIEC/EOC) under Franco’s dictatorship. 

Session organised in conjunction with the Barcelona International Women’s Film Festival, with collaboration from the Spanish Cinemathèque.
