Black Light

Radio Éter

Music

Radio Éter is a radio programme broadcast from the CCCB that evokes the early days of radio as a “magical” act, when the ability of a voice to travel through the ether into thousands of homes at the same time seemed an outlandish concept. Radio Éter touches on these magical origins and the concept of believing without seeing.

At the same time, it pays tribute to the tradition of radio programmes about the esoteric and occult sciences that have become part of our popular culture.

Produced and presented by Mery Cuesta, Radio Éter will interview people who are involved in some way with schools of thought associated with esotericism, secret traditions, mysticism, religions and the occult. Each programme will last 20 minutes and be broadcast live from the set by the entrance to the exhibition ‘Black Light’. You can listen to the podcasts on this website.

Interviews with curators, mentalists, artists, essayists and believers from different cultural spheres will be combined with clips from the CCCB archives to provide a contemporary mosaic of current points of view of about the coexistence of the occult with the mysteries of our everyday lives.
