French animated film My life as a Courgette is one of the films in the Stories of everyday life film series. An audiovisual series for the whole family.

Although Courgette is a strange name for a 9-year-old boy, his story is surprisingly universal.  After his mother dies suddenly, Courgette makes friends with a kind policeman, Raymond, who takes him to his new foster home with other orphans his age. At first, Courgette struggles to adapt to this strange, hostile environment. With help from Raymond and his new friends, Courgette learns to love and trust other people. This is a stop-motion adaptation of the novel by Gilles Paris, Autobiographie d’une Courgette.
