Musical landscape

With an intuitive musical montage, Júlio Bressane pieces together a personal history and a history of the 20th century, using different series of photographs of a house and a street in Rio de Janeiro—Rua Aperana, which means “wrong way”—where he has spent his life and filmed numerous scenes. The result is the sensible, emotive transformation of an intimate space into a “landscape of fiction”.
