Lapsus Festival 2018

Avant-garde Electronic Music Festival

Music + Festivals

Lapsus Festival marks its fifth edition by strengthening its commitment to avant-garde electronic music and renewing its pledge as a unique selector that provides alternative music trends to other festivals taking place in the city. Lapsus focuses on comfort and quality at the CCCB's Theatre and seeks to avoid the trappings of large crowd formats.

Lapsus Festival increases its number of days. Friday 6 will feature a very special program dedicated to electronic music pioneers including: German artist and krautrock legend, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, who will exclusively present his new show En Este Instante; the visionary American producer and father of the punk sound Craig Leon, will, for the first time in Barcelona, perform music from his albums Nommos and Kanon; and experimental Hispano-Norwegian duo N.M.O. will also perform.

Saturday 7 will host more than 12 uninterrupted hours of music. From 17.00 the CCCB will present performances from Lee Gamble, D’Arcangelo, Deena Abdelwahed, Photay, Renick Bell, Rrucculla and a b2b set from Philip Sherburne and Tutu. Furthermore, the Sala Raval we will provide the opportunity to experience Voyage to the End of the World, a three performance sound odyssey especially designed by Modern Obscure Music. The night-time schedule will also be extended, taking place for the first time at LAUT, the incredible space located in the centre of Barcelona, equipped with the latest generation sound system.
