On the occasion of the Year Vicente Andrés Estellés, a constellation of artistic voices celebrates World Poetry Day in an event that invites us to affirm the survival of the author and the need for his poetry.

In the seventeenth edition of World Poetry Day, the Institute of Catalan Letters and the Catalan Federation of Unesco Clubs and Associations have chosen the poem "i loved life very much" by Vicente Andrés Estellés, the centenary of whose birth we commemorate this year, as the heartbeat of an act that invites us to celebrate his work.

There is an unnoticed and revolutionary poetry in the detail of daily life. The poetics of the everyday is often subtle and asks for a look as genuine as incisive to be read. Estellés made of this smallness a vital imperative in capital letters; he touched death so closely that he clung very tightly to life, and between these two poles of tension the poet found in love the meaning of existence and sang all its nuances.

To read Estellés is to desire the right to joy and to feel the gratitude of being alive. So let's read him. And also celebrate him with this event that will bring together the languages of Daniela Savalli, Ana Karen Orozco, Francesc Anyó, Míriam Cano, Martí Sales, Mariona García Corominas, Vaikonur - Ester Guntín, Arnau Boces, Mabel Olea, Clara Poch, Marçal Calvet, Roger Seró Ballesteros and Laia Vidal Castañé.

Translation of the event into Catalan sign language by the Associació Gironina de Sords.
