The Words We Don’t Yet Have

FEM!

Today’s feminist creators

Debate

Free

With Maria Arnal, Flavita Banana, Btoy, Yolanda Domínguez, Sonido Tupinamba, María Cañas, Silvia Albert Sopale, Miriam Reyes, Agnés Mateus, Maria Sevilla, Marga Mbande, Mar C. Llop, Maria Isern, Núria Guiu, Lali Álvarez, Bianca Batlle Nguema, Sònia Gómez and Las Glorias Cabareteras.

This session brings together some of today’s most outstanding creators who, committed to feminism, are working to create a space for meeting and from which to uphold, call for, and celebrate creativity. It also seeks to be a place for joining voices and asking questions. What imaginaries are feminist creators thinking about today? What challenges do they pose? What difficulties do they come up against? How can we deal with the dangers of banalised feminism? What questions are we overlooking and why?

From the firm conviction that creation is, above all, a stance and an opportunity to question everything, these artists will try to find answers, and will take on the risks with humour, poetry, music, live graffiti, monologues, dance, and much more.

Session curated by Núria Vergés and Mireia Calafell.

With the collaboration: Centre d'Estudis de Temes Contemporanis and Institut Català de les Dones
