DocsBarcelona 2023

The DocsBarcelona 2023 programme is made up of films that reflect on the violence that runs through femininities, opening doors to possible paths to healing. At the same time, a group of films investigate the way in which patriarchy also violates, coerces and even destroys masculinities. In this sense, they are films that seek to identify or construct new masculinities, often escaping the heteronormative framework and gender binarism. Finally, the programme is also made up of films that show the contemporary crisis of the great political ideologies and of spirituality and religion through humour.

The festival takes place from May 18 to May 28. At the CCCB, the sessions for the general public will take place on May 20 and 21. Please check the whole programme on the festival's website.
