Contemporary African Art or, Simply, Contemporary Art From Africa?

Origins, and roots are important, but not decisive. In much of the contemprary art created by artists of African origin, these origins and roots are reinterpreted and pervaded by forms which formulate and transmit questions and meanings, emotions and aspirations which have a universal value.
