Biennial of Thought

Bivac. Correspondences

With Clara Roquet, Pol Jiménez, Mans O and Aixa de la Cruz

Festivals

Free

Dramatic reading of an epistolary exchange between a writer and a filmmaker, accompanied by music, a dance piece and visuals.

Although they do not know each other, the writer Aixa de la Cruz and the filmmaker Clara Roquet have accepted the invitation to initiate a correspondence about the idea of refuge. For five weeks, and at a distance, they have written to each other exchanging their thoughts about what makes us vulnerable and what puts us in danger, and also about intimacy and fragility, inequalities, healing, displacements, and the inevitable burden of adulthood. They have gradually woven a fabric of words and complicities which they will share onstage with the electronic music producer Mans O and the visuals by Pol Picas. The dancer and choreographer Pol Jiménez will join the music, words and images with another correspondence, namely a dance improvisation.

Scenic and visual proposal by Pol Picas and Marta Sellart.

Bivac is a new, small-format festival of thinking and creation that is a joint product of the CCCB and La Sullivan working with a group of sixteen young people from Barcelona.
