Lluís Clotet

Lluís Clotet (Barcelona, 1941) graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) in 1965. He was a lecturer in Drawing at ETSAB from 1977 to 1984, a visiting lecturer at Aula PFC, and lecturer in Projects I and II from 1997 until 2000. In 1964 he founded Studio PER with the architects Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici and Oscar Tusquets. He worked with Oscar Tusquets on many projects until 1983. He subsequently worked in partnership with Ignacio Paricio from 1984 until 2008. He is also a founder of the publisher BD Ediciones, which specialises in design. He has been awarded several prizes for his work: Golden Lion Award for the best illustrated book at the 12th Biennale di Venezia; FAD Prize for Best Interior Design in 1965, 1972 and 2005; FAD Architecture Prize for Best Building in 1978, 1979, 1988 and 1989; National Prize for Restoration, 1980; Delta d’Oro Prize for Best Industrial Design in 1974, 1979 and 1980; Construmat Prize for the Best Building in 1991, 1999 and 2007; Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia National Prize for Architecture, 1999; Dècada Prize, 2009; Ministry of Development National Prize for Architecture, 2010.
