GENTE JOVEN (Leon)
Gente Joven was a Spanish talent show in the seventies and eighties. It’s also the musical project that provides the vehicle for Fernando de la Flor’s passion for moody pop, ambient textures and Spanish lyrics, aided by Patricia Magadán (vocals) and Pablo Álvarez (guitar).
Gente Joven have just presented their debut CD I, II, III y IV, with their first demos, a total of eight songs, brought out by Discos de Kirlian in a very limited edition of 125 copies.
Critics and public agree that their sound is reminiscent of Family, The Cure, early Sr. Chinarro, Galaxie 500 and Magnetic Fields. They call it “abandoned-picnic-site dream pop”.
