Producer, screenplay writer and editor
Félix Pérez-Hita is currently co-directing chapters of Soy Cámara with Andrés Hispano, with whom he also directed Baixa Fidelitat (XTVL-2005) and worked as a scriptwriter and editor on Boing Boing Buddha (BTV, 2001-2004). With Arturo Bastón, he directs HILOMENTAL (videological sessions). He is a founder member of Horitzó.tv association and, with the Neokinok.tv collective, he created Tvlata (an educational project using experimental TV, 2007). He was co-director of Gabinet de Crisi: un programa de tv que no veurà a la tv (2001-2009), with Bastón and Kiko Grau (original idea of Hispano and K. Grau).
Between 1997 and 1999, he directed 15 documentaries for Barcelona TV. He has taught History and Theory of Image at the Elisava design school, and master’s degrees and workshops at several universities. He has written articles about image criticism for Manía, Archipiélago,the Cultura/s supplement of La Vanguardia, and El Estado Mental, among other publications.
