10', 2007. Directed by Zhenchen Liu
The artist Zhenchen Liu follows the urban regeneration process in her hometown of Shanghai as China enters the global market. Every year, more than one hundred thousand families are forced to leave their homes and move into the outskirts of the city. Under Construction, a short produced by the Le Fresnoy centre, scans the newly destroyed areas of Shanghai to portray how the process has affected people's lives.
