Juan Francisco Caro (@jf_caro) is a journalist specialising in economic news and in data journalism. For several years he has been exploring and exploiting public statistics as part of his work in regional Administration. In 2012, on the website of the daily HOY, he set up the blog Extremadura en Datos (Extremadura in Data) where he analyses official statistics in depth in order to extract a regional view of the figures. Subsequently he started to work as an analyst for the Presidency of the Government of Extremadura. At present, he is press chief of the Vice-Presidency, Spokespersons and Council for Employment, Enterprise and Innovation.
