Public space: a citizens' reconquest

The multiple dimensions of public space bring together the main values of the city but also reveal its inequalities. Public space is at once an integrating instrument and a setting of conflict in cities.

On the occasion of the presentation of the postgraduate course Espai públic: polítiques urbanes i ciutadania (Public Space: Urban Policy and Citizenship), organised by the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in collaboration with the CCCB, a panel discussion is offered in which the participants debate the question of citizens’ reconquest of public space.
